New page

Fusions let two players merge into a single, much stronger character for a limited time. There are three ways to fuse, and they work differently: the Fusion Dance (Metamoru), the Potara Earrings (Pothala) and the Medi-Bug Beetles. In every case one player becomes the leader who controls the fused body while the other rides along, and the fusion grants big bonus stats for its whole duration.

<div class="dmz-cards">

</div>

How fusions work
General Server Config
* Two players fuse into one character. The leader controls the fused body; the partner rides along as a passenger.
* The fusion grants bonus STR, SKP and PWR based on the partner's stats, with a multiplier that depends on the method.
* A fusion lasts 15 minutes by default (the Fusion Dance can be shorter, depending on the Fusion skill level).
* It ends early on death or disconnect.
* The Fusion cooldown is 30 minutes by default.

Durations, cooldown and the boosted stats are server settings.

While fused
The fused character is the leader's body with both fighters' power:

* Race, class and stats stay the leader's, plus the fusion bonus.
* Skills use the higher level of the two players, and techniques from both are available (except the partner's revive technique). Mastery and technique experience earned while fused are kept when you split.
* Transformations: form masteries are combined (the higher of the two). When the two players are different races, the leader can also use the partner's race forms at the partner's skill levels and mastery; for example, a Frost Demon fused with a Saiyan can go Super Saiyan. Android forms are never shared, and a Mutant partner only lends its own race's legendary forms.
* Appearance: body, hair and aura colours are blended 50/50, and one eye takes the partner's eye colour. If both players have hair, the hairstyles are merged into a two-tone fused hairstyle. Racial traits the leader lacks (a Saiyan tail, ears, antennae, horns, wings…) are borrowed from the partner. Partner-race forms keep their model but use the leader's skin and face, while the extra parts of that model (horns, wings, tails…) keep the partner race's own texture.
* Name: the fused character's name combines half of each player's name.
* TP: the partner receives half of the Training Points the leader earns.
* You can't buy or upgrade skills, create, import or delete techniques, or take Dr. Gero's android upgrade while fused.

The partner is kept with the leader: if they drift more than 5 blocks away or end up in another dimension, they are pulled back.

Ending a fusion
A fusion ends when its timer runs out, or early if either player dies, disconnects or changes game mode. Both players split back apart and their original appearance is restored; any form the leader doesn't own is reverted.

The Fusion cooldown only blocks the Fusion Dance. A Fusion Dance puts both players on cooldown; a Potara or Medi-Bug Beetle fusion puts the leader on cooldown when its timer runs out.

All fusions end early if either player dies or logs out.

Fused fighters
Some NPC fighters are fusions too. Gotenks (Goten and Trunks) and Gogeta (Goku and Vegeta) come from the Fusion Dance, and Vegetto (Goku and Vegeta) from the Potara Earrings. Gogeta is the champion of the Otherworld Tournament, and Gotenks and Vegetto can be drawn as its contenders.
