Kid Trunks can be drawn as a '''contender''' in the Otherworld Tournament. Each contender seat draws a random fighter from the Buu Saga cast, and a tournament never has two forms of the same character, so it has at most one Trunks: base or Super Saiyan. The draw is revealed once everybody accepts the rules, and you only face him if he reaches your bout: fights between two NPCs are decided automatically.


His stats come from the tournament, not from the character: each contender draw has its own health, damage and AI tier. By default they range from 238,000 health, 9,900 melee damage and 8,840 ki damage (Smart AI) to 612,500 health, 25,800 melee damage and 23,460 ki damage (Elite AI), and contenders get 8% stronger for every round already played.


Tournament fighters never transform: Trunks keeps the form he was drawn in for the whole bout. Bouts end at knockout, so he isn't killed and drops nothing.
