The Red Ribbon Army fields soldiers and robots that patrol the land around Earth's villages and garrison the Red Ribbon Tower, which keeps spawning them inside its walls. They attack players and villagers alike. They also guard the Red Ribbon bases, whose commander starts the Red Ribbon Army Assault raid.

Soldiers and robots are wild enemies: out in the open they spawn under open sky, day or night, away from torches and other light. The Red Ribbon Tower, a Red Ribbon outpost found in most land biomes, also spawns them indoors in dim spots (block light 7 or less), and vanilla monsters don't spawn in it. See how wild enemies spawn and Structures.

Red Ribbon bases are large army bases in the Plains, Sunflower Plains and Savanna biomes of the Overworld; find the nearest one with
/dmzlocate red_ribbon_base
. When you come within 80 blocks, a garrison appears: 16 Red Ribbon's Soldiers and 3 robots posted around the base, each staying within 12 blocks of its post, and the Red Ribbon Commander inside the headquarters, a named soldier with 150 health and 8 melee damage. The garrison shows the purple supervillain tint and outline and doesn't despawn. Killing the commander starts the Red Ribbon Army Assault raid: five waves of soldiers and robots led by Colonel Silver, Sergeant Metallic, Ninja Murasaki, General Blue and General Black's Robot.

The Classic Saga pits you against the army's officers: Colonel Silver in The Red Ribbon Army, then General Red in Red Ribbon Headquarters and General Black's Robot in Officer Black's Battle Robot, both at the Red Ribbon Tower.
