Classes
When you create a character you pick a class. A class decides how your first stat points are distributed, how efficiently each attribute grows as you train and which unique passive you get. DragonMineZ has eight classes, and every class is available to every race: Warrior, Martial Artist, Spiritualist, Berserker, Paladin, Tank, Cleric and Unversed.
What a class does
- Starting attributes: how your first stat points are distributed.
- Stat scalings: how efficiently each attribute contributes as you train. This is what defines the class's playstyle.
- A class passive: a unique combat or utility effect.
Choosing and changing your class
You pick your class on the last tab (Class & Aura) of the character customization screen. Browse the classes with the arrows: the panel shows each class's starting stats, scalings and regeneration, and the right side explains its passive.
- The Re-Customize Character wish of Shenron or Porunga reopens the customization screen and lets you pick another class without resetting your stats or skills.
- Admins can use
/dmzclass <class> [targets]. The class must be one your race offers, and stat multipliers are re-applied on change (see Commands).
Stat keys and regeneration
- Stat keys: STR = Strength · SKP = Strike Power · RES = Resistance · VIT = Vitality · PWR = Ki Power · ENE = Energy. Scalings also include DEF (Defense) and STM (Stamina), which come from Resistance.
- Regeneration values are amounts per 5 seconds. For example, health regeneration is the class's base value plus VIT times its health scaling, and stamina regeneration grows with both VIT and RES.
See Stats and Attributes for what each stat does.
Default stat scalings
Higher numbers mean that attribute contributes more for the class. Bold marks each class's standout stats.
| Class | STR | SKP | DEF | STM | VIT | PWR | ENE |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | 1.4 | 1.0 | 0.24 | 1.6 | 1.8 | 0.5 | 1.5 |
| Martial Artist | 0.8 | 1.8 | 0.18 | 1.3 | 2.2 | 0.6 | 1.6 |
| Spiritualist | 0.3 | 0.5 | 0.156 | 0.7 | 1.4 | 1.9 | 3.7 |
| Berserker | 1.7 | 0.8 | 0.18 | 1.1 | 3.0 | 0.4 | 1.3 |
| Paladin | 0.8 | 1.2 | 0.336 | 1.2 | 2.0 | 0.6 | 1.2 |
| Tank | 0.6 | 0.7 | 0.384 | 1.5 | 2.5 | 0.5 | 0.8 |
| Cleric | 0.5 | 0.5 | 0.168 | 2.6 | 1.2 | 0.8 | 3.0 |
| Unversed | 0.9 | 0.9 | 0.22 | 1.35 | 1.9 | 0.85 | 1.75 |
The VIT and DEF values are the starting per-point rates: both grow on a curve as you invest more Vitality and Resistance, up to VIT_scaling_max and DEF_scaling_max, which are 4 times the values in this table by default.

Training speed
Two classes train faster than average:
- Tank: ×1.25 TP gain.
- Cleric: ×1.25 TP gain and ×0.9 TP cost, the cheapest and fastest class to train.
The class TP multiplier is one of the TP boosts described on Training Points and Mastery.
Configuration
stats.jsonAll these values are defaults. Starting stats, scalings, regeneration, TP multipliers and the passive values live per race in the race stats file (config/dragonminez/races/<race>/stats.json), so server owners and add-ons can change them for each race. The class ids used in config are warrior, martialartist, spiritualist, berserker, paladin, tank, cleric and unversed.
