Tamagami Number 1 is the swordsman who guards the First Demon World, the bottom floor of the Demon Realm, and the strongest of the three Tamagamis. He punishes careless attacks with counters and teleports. When defeated he doesn't die: he drops the 1-star Demon Realm Dragon Ball on his platform and goes back to sleep for an hour.

Finding the lair
Tamagami Number 1 sleeps on a stone platform on the First Demon World, reached through the giant tunnel that starts at 700, 450 on the Second Demon World. The lairs of the Tamagamis are searched for while players are in the Demon Realm. Once his lair has been located, the Time Patroller in any demon village sells the Tamagami Number One Map for 20 Emeralds (4 uses).

He wakes when a survival or adventure player comes within 32 blocks of his platform, or when you hit him.

How the Tamagamis fight
Red circles and lanes on the ground always mark where a move will land. Some moves leave a Tamagami exposed for a moment: while exposed it takes 25% more damage. When badly hurt, a Tamagami turns into its Powered Up form, which uses its moves more often (75% of the cooldown) and with extra follow-ups.

Moves
* Counter Stance. Don't hit him while he holds it: he teleports behind the attacker and counters for huge damage. If nobody hits him, he slashes around him and is exposed.
* Flash Cuts. Teleport slashes along red lanes (three in a row when Powered Up).
* Chase. Keep your distance too long and he teleports behind you.
* Catching his breath. After a flurry of fast hits he stops to catch his breath.
* Duel (Powered Up, with 2 or more players). He challenges one player for 8 seconds and meanwhile takes 50% more damage from everyone else.

Defeat and rewards
When his health runs out, Tamagami Number 1 drops the 1-star Demon Realm Dragon Ball on his platform and becomes dormant for an hour before he can be fought again. The three Demon Realm Dragon Balls, one from each Tamagami, summon Porunga in the Demon Realm. They never scatter on their own and no radar finds them (see Dragons and Wishes).

Every contributor with at least 7.5% of the points also rolls these default rewards (see how world boss rewards work):
* ×360 Attributes (guaranteed; the amount scales with your contribution): half as Attribute Points and half as Training Points, like quest rewards (see Stats and Attributes).
* Tamagami Sword (30%): a sword with balanced strikes.

In the story
In the Daima Saga, the quest Tamagami Number 1 asks you to defeat him on the First Demon World.
