Each world keeps its wish lists as files in <code><world>/dragonminez/wishes/</code>: <code>shenron.json</code>, <code>porunga.json</code> and <code>porunga_daima.json</code>, since Porunga (Daima) has his own list. A file is only written when it is missing, so a world created before an update keeps its old lists. For example, Porunga's '''Frieza's Capsule''' wish (a hover [[Special:MyLanguage/Vehicles|vehicle]]) doesn't appear in an older world until the server adds it to <code>porunga.json</code> or deletes the file so it is generated again. | |||

Dragons grant wishes. You summon one by gathering a complete set of its Dragon Balls in its world, then choosing from its list of wishes. DragonMineZ has two main dragons: Shenron on Earth and Porunga on Namek. A second Porunga can be summoned in the Demon Realm with the balls the Tamagamis drop. After the wish, the balls scatter across the world again.
Comparison
| Dragon | World | Dragon Balls | Radar | Wishes per summon | Revive wish |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shenron | Earth | 7 Earth Dragon Balls | Dragon Radar (Earth) | 1 | Up to 3 dead players |
| Porunga | Namek | 7 Namek Dragon Balls | Dragon Radar (Namek) | 3 | 1 dead player per wish |
| Porunga (Daima) | Demon Realm | 3 Demon Realm Dragon Balls | — | 3 | 1 dead player per wish |
How summoning works
worldGen- Collect all seven Dragon Balls of a set. They are scattered around the world spawn of the matching world: within 1,000 blocks by default, with one copy of each ball.
- Use a Dragon Radar to locate them.
- Place all seven balls within 5 blocks of each other. Once the whole set is together, the balls light up with a pulsing glow and chime. Then right-click one to summon the dragon.
- Pick your wishes in the wish screen: left-click a wish to pick it, and right-click to remove your last pick of that wish. Only the player who summoned the dragon can make the wish.
- The balls scatter again afterwards.
While a dragon is out, the sky of that world turns dark: a starry night sky covers the whole dimension. It is only visual. The world's time doesn't change, so it doesn't bring night mobs, and the sky fades back once the dragon leaves. After the wish the weather clears and the dragon fades away in a white flash.
If nobody makes a wish, the dragon leaves after 10 minutes and the balls scatter again.
Dragon Balls
The game keeps track of every Earth and Namek Dragon Ball, wherever it is placed or picked up, and a lost ball respawns. Server operators can check where every ball is and top a set back up with /dmzdragonballs (see Commands).
The three Demon Realm Dragon Balls work differently: they are never scattered around the world and no radar finds them. Each Tamagami world boss drops one when defeated, and they don't scatter again after the wish. See Porunga.
Radars
| Radar | Works in | Finds | How to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dragon Radar (Earth) | Earth | Earth Dragon Balls | Crafted from a Radar's Chip (Earth) and a Radar's CPU (Earth). Also the reward of the GT Saga quest Parts for Bulma. |
| Dragon Radar (Namek) | Namek | Namek Dragon Balls | Crafted from a Radar's Chip (Namek) and a Radar's CPU (Namek). |
| Bi-Dimensional Radar | Earth, Namek | Both sets | A quest reward, fused from an Earth and a Namek radar. It can't be crafted. |
Revive wishes
Shenron and Porunga can bring dead players back to life for good. The revive wishes only work on players who are dead in the Otherworld. When you open the wish screen it lists the dead players who are online, and a revive wish can't be picked while nobody is dead. After confirming, you choose who to revive: up to 3 players with Shenron, or 1 per pick with Porunga. Revived players lose their halo and are fully alive again.
Dragons in the story
- The Frieza Saga quest Summon Porunga asks you to summon Porunga with the Namek Dragon Balls.
- The GT Saga quest The Cracked Dragon Balls asks you to summon Shenron with the Earth Dragon Balls.
- The Change Difficulty wish is the only way to change your story difficulty, and Reset Story Progress lets you play the sagas again.
Custom dragons and wishes
Server owners can replace a dragon's wish list on their world, and add-on packs can add new dragons with their own Dragon Ball sets and radars. On such servers you may notice that:
- a Dragon Ball set doesn't have to have seven balls: it is complete when every star of the set is placed together;
- some sets never scatter on their own, and their balls only come from quests, bosses or other rewards;
- a wish can be limited to once per summon, even on a dragon that grants several wishes;
- besides items, wishes can grant Attributes, Attribute Points, Training Points or skill levels, revive players, or run server commands.
Each world keeps its wish lists as files in <world>/dragonminez/wishes/: shenron.json, porunga.json and porunga_daima.json, since Porunga (Daima) has his own list. A file is only written when it is missing, so a world created before an update keeps its old lists. For example, Porunga's Frieza's Capsule wish (a hover vehicle) doesn't appear in an older world until the server adds it to porunga.json or deletes the file so it is generated again.
