Saiyans are a warrior race born for combat. Their innate ability to grow stronger after each battle makes them formidable opponents, and they can transform into Super Saiyans and beyond. In DragonMineZ a Saiyan who survives a lethal blow gets a Zenkai boost, uses its tail to become an Oozaru, and climbs the longest form ladder of any race: three groups unlocked by the Super Forms skill (Oozaru, SS Grades and Super Saiyan), the legendary Mutant line, the hidden False Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God, which only a ritual can grant.

Overview and strengths

• Zenkai. From level 100, a lethal blow from an enemy leaves you at 1 health instead, and you come back stronger, permanently up to three times.
• Limitless Power. Every full-strength Zenkai also raises your Power Release limit.
• Tail. Saiyans have a tail, which they need for the Oozaru and Golden Oozaru forms.
• Many forms. Eight levels of the Super Forms skill unlock forms across three groups (Oozaru, SS Grades and Super Saiyan), plus the Legendary line, a hidden rage form and Super Saiyan God, granted by a ritual.
• Play as yourself. The default body type uses your own Minecraft skin.

Racial skill

Part	What it does
Zenkai	From level 100, a lethal blow from an enemy leaves you at 1 health instead, unless it dealt more than 100% of your max health. You stay down for 10 seconds, invulnerable, recovering 40% health, 80% Ki and 80% stamina. Your STR, SKP and PWR rise by 1% to 10%, depending on the hardest hit you took in the last 10 seconds. Hits of at least 25% of your max health grant the full boost, which is permanent (up to 3 times); any other boost is temporary and lasts 120 to 240 seconds. Cooldown: 900 seconds.
Limitless Power	Each full-strength (permanent) Zenkai raises your Power Release limit by 5%, up to +15% in total.

Both parts work on their own; there is nothing to activate. The permanent Zenkai boosts and the Power Release bonus can be reset with the Reset Passive wish or /dmzracial reset (see Racial Skills), after which you can earn them again from zero.

Transformations

All three Super Saiyan groups share the Super Forms skill, whose eight levels cost 13,000 · 21,000 · 31,000 · 42,000 · 52,000 · 65,000 · 78,000 · 104,000 TP; level 8 unlocks both SSJ 4 forms. Each form after the first of its group also needs 25% mastery on the previous one. Multipliers are the defaults at 0% mastery and grow up to 1.5 times at 100% mastery. Ki drain is the base upkeep per tick; see energy consumption.

Oozaru

Look at the full moon, or at a Fake Moon, with your tail out and you turn into a Great Ape almost four times your size. It is the first form of its group and costs no TP. While you are a Great Ape, your first three technique slots hold its own moves; see Tail and Oozaru.

Golden Oozaru

A Great Ape with golden fur and a golden aura. Like Oozaru, it needs your tail and gives you the Great Ape moves while it lasts.

Back to normal size, with red fur over your body and tail, long wild hair, golden eyes and a golden aura. Together with SSJ 4 [D] it is the strongest Saiyan form, but Ultimate never copies it.

The most muscular grade: your body swells to its limit, so you move and swing slower and each attack eats a lot of stamina. It hits hard but tires you out fast.

Super Saiyan

Crimson hair, fur and eyes, a golden aura with light blue lightning and a glowing outline. Together with SSJ 4 [GT] it is the strongest Saiyan form, but Ultimate never copies it.

Mutant

The Mutant group is the Saiyan Legendary line (the Legendary Super Saiyan forms). It can't be bought with TP by default: the Movies Saga grants its levels, and Mutants can borrow them (see Legendary forms).

A hidden form that rage triggers on its own: you can't buy or select it. Your hair spikes up in a dark tone and your eyes turn white. See False Super Saiyan below for who can get it and how it ends.

God Ritual

Only the Super Saiyan God Ritual grants this form, for 5 minutes: crimson hair and eyes and a red-orange aura. It takes your strongest unlocked form and raises each of its stat bonuses by 30% (45% for Mutants); see Super Saiyan God below.

Tail and Oozaru

Saiyans are born with a tail. You need it for the Oozaru and Golden Oozaru forms, which turn you into a giant Great Ape. Oozaru is the first form of its group and costs no TP.

Becoming an Oozaru

Select Oozaru as your next form in the X menu while you are in base form. Then either:

• at night during a full moon, stand under the open sky and look straight up at the moon, or
• look at a Fake Moon, the artificial moon created by the technique of the same name (taught by Vegeta; it triggers the Great Ape transformation for anyone with a tail).

The transformation then starts charging by itself.

Great Ape loadout

While you are in the Oozaru or Golden Oozaru form, your first three technique slots are replaced with Mouth Blast, Oozaru Slam and Rage Scream (they are added temporarily if you don't own them). Your normal slots come back when you leave the form. See Techniques.

Managing your tail

• The Racial Skill entry of the X menu lets Saiyans hide or show their tail.
• Dende at Kami's Lookout offers Grow/Remove Tail to races with a Saiyan tail.
• /dmztail grow and /dmztail cut grow or cut your own tail; every player may use them on themselves by default (see Commands and Permissions).

False Super Saiyan

A hidden Saiyan form that you can't buy or select: it is triggered by rage.

• Who: Saiyans from level 100 to 199 who are not a Mutant and have not unlocked any Super form yet.
• How: while you are in base form at 25% health or less, a red rage meter fills on its own (in about 10 seconds; landing and taking hits speeds it up). When it is full you transform automatically, at no Ki cost.
• Power: STR, SKP and PWR ×1.45, DEF ×1.2875, no Ki upkeep. You can't stack Kaioken on it, and you can't descend out of it.
• End: once you have transformed, only the meter matters; healing up doesn't end the form. The meter starts draining 2 seconds after the last hit and empties over about 12 seconds; the form ends when it is empty, or when you die.

Super Saiyan God

Main article: Super Saiyan God Ritual

A Saiyan form that only a ritual can grant. Five pure-hearted Saiyans (alignment 90 or more, or 10 or less) in SSJ or SSJ Mastered give their Ki to a sixth in SSJ Mastered with Ki Transfer; after ten seconds of channelling, the receiver becomes a Super Saiyan God for 5 minutes.

• Power: your strongest unlocked form, with each stat bonus raised by 30% (45% for Mutants).
• Rules: it drains Ki and has no mastery, you can't descend out of it or stack a form on it, and players without god ki can't sense you.
• Cooldown: everyone who took part waits 30 minutes before the next ritual.

Appearance

Main article: Character Customization

• Hair: yes. Saiyans can pick any hairstyle preset and design their own styles in the hair editor. The editor keeps five slots (Base, SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3 and SSJ4): each form switches to the slot it uses, and the editor can generate the SSJ slots from your Base style.
• Tail: shaded like the hair; you can hide or show it from the X menu.
• Gender: yes. Male and female body types share the same grid, so picking a body type also picks your gender.
• Body types: body type 0 (the default) uses your own Minecraft skin, and there are extra body types for each gender. With your own skin, the skin pixel editor lets you mark your eyes and hair so your transformations can recolor them.

Configuration

Zenkai and Limitless Power are tuned in the saiyan section of racialSkills in general-server.json (level gate, cooldown, knockout, boost sizes, permanent boosts and the Power Release bonus). False Super Saiyan has its own falseSuperSaiyan section, where it can also be limited to Saiyans whose Zenkai is spent. The Super Saiyan God Ritual is tuned in superSaiyanGodRitual. The Super Forms TP ladder is in races/saiyan/character.json, and each form's values are in its form file.
