  • Bracket: you're seated in a knockout bracket filled with random NPC contenders. Winners climb the ladder; fights between two NPCs are decided automatically. After the qualifier rounds, the survivor faces the host's semi-finalist, then (Otherworld and World Martial Arts Tournament only) a finalist, then the champion. Only the semi-finalist, finalist and champion are known before you enter; the rest of the draw is revealed once everybody accepts the rules.
  • Gauntlet: you beat every fighter from left to right, then the semi-finalist and the champion.
