The first time you open the race selection, the character customization, the Stats, Skills and Quests menus (and your first look at the HUD after creating a character), a short interactive tutorial highlights each part of the screen. Press Enter or Space for the next step, or Esc to skip. You can turn them off, or see them all again, from Config → Interface. Almost every screen has a tutorial.
