Soldiers and robots are wild enemies: out in the open they spawn under open sky, day or night, away from torches and other light. The Red Ribbon Tower, a Red Ribbon outpost found in most land biomes, also spawns them indoors in dim spots (block light 7 or less), and vanilla monsters don't spawn in it.
