Human
Humans are a terrestrial race with highly versatile combat skills. They lack the innate power of other races, but they are resourceful and tenacious, and overcome their limits through training and discipline. In DragonMineZ they pay for cheaper ki attacks with their own health, learn techniques faster than anyone and get a burst of adrenaline when they are close to death. Humans are also the only race that Dr. Gero can turn into an Android.
Overview and strengths
- Cheaper ki attacks. Blood-Fueled Ki cuts the Ki cost of ki attacks by 25%, turning part of the saving into a health cost that comes back as bonus damage.
- Faster technique growth. Fast Learner gives your techniques 35% more experience, so they reach their upgrades sooner.
- A second wind. Adrenaline makes you tougher and faster when your health drops to 25%.
- Play as yourself. The default body type uses your own Minecraft skin.
- Two paths. A Human keeps the Super and Legendary form lines, or can trade them for the Android line through Dr. Gero's upgrade.
Racial skill
racialSkills.humanThe Human racial skill has three parts. You don't need to activate any of them.
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Blood-Fueled Ki | Ki attacks cost 25% less Ki. Part of the saved Ki is paid with your health instead (12.5% of the original cost), and that health is added as bonus damage to the attack's next hit. It never brings you below 2 health. |
| Fast Learner | Your techniques gain 35% more experience. |
| Adrenaline | Dropping to 25% health or below fills you with adrenaline for 15 seconds: you take 30% less damage and gain +25% attack speed and +25% movement speed. It can trigger again after 180 seconds, once your health has risen back above that threshold. |
An Android keeps Fast Learner and Adrenaline but replaces Blood-Fueled Ki with Android Core and Absorption Barrier (see Android).
Transformations
Level is the level of the form skill (Super Forms or Legendary Forms) that unlocks the form, and TP cost is the price of that level. Each form after the first of its group also needs 25% mastery on the previous one. Multipliers are the defaults at 0% mastery and grow up to 1.5 times at 100% mastery. Ki drain is the base upkeep per tick; see energy consumption for what raises or lowers it.
Super
Buffed
Your muscles swell into a much bulkier body, while your hair and aura stay as they are. It is the first form the Super Forms skill unlocks.
Full Power
You return to your normal build and your hair rises into spikes, keeping its color.
Overdrive
Your hair spikes up even further and a pale yellow aura with white lightning surrounds you.
Legendary
The Legendary forms can't be bought with TP by default: the Movies Saga grants their levels, and Mutants can borrow them (see Legendary forms).
Shiyoken
Your Ki burns at its limit: a blood-red aura with red lightning, with no change to your body.
Shin Shiyoken
The same blood-red aura and lightning on a bulkier, more muscular body.
Chou Shiyoken
The last Shiyoken stage: a broad body with an extra pair of arms and a red glowing outline, still wrapped in the blood-red aura and lightning.
Becoming an Android
Dr. Gero can convert a Human into an Android, a sub-race of the Human race. The upgrade is permanent: you lose the Super and Legendary forms above for good and get the Android forms (Android Base, Super Android, Fused Android) instead, and Blood-Fueled Ki is replaced by Android Core and Absorption Barrier. Think it over before you accept.
Appearance
- Hair: yes. Humans can pick any of the hairstyle presets and design their own styles in the hair editor.
- Gender: yes. Male and female body types share the same grid, so picking a body type also picks your gender.
- Body types: body type 0 (the default) uses your own Minecraft skin, and there are extra body types for each gender. With your own skin, the skin pixel editor lets you mark your eyes and hair so your transformations can recolor them.
- Face: Humans use the human nose and mouth options, which other races can also pick.
Configuration
The Human racial skill is switched on, switched off and re-balanced in the human section of racialSkills in general-server.json; the same section also holds the Android barrier values. The Super, Legendary and Android TP ladders are in races/human/character.json, and each form's multipliers, drain and requisites are in its form file.
