The Demon Realm (dimension id dragonminez:demon_realm) is the realm from Dragon Ball Daima: three Demon Worlds stacked on top of each other, ruled by King Gomah. You explore it from the top down: you arrive on the Third Demon World, then travel down through giant tunnels to the Second and finally the First Demon World. The Daima Saga takes you through all three floors.

Gravity

Configured in: Gravity ConfigdefaultWorldGravity

Gravity is normal (×1.0) by default. The Demon Realm isn't listed in the per-world gravity setting, so it uses the fallback world gravity.

Getting there

Travel by Space Pod. The Demon Realm destination unlocks once you complete Daima Saga quest 3, To the Demon Realm: bring Bulma 16 ender pearls, 8 crying obsidian, 8 redstone blocks and 16 amethyst shards so she can tune your pod's warp drive. The pod drops you high above the Third Demon World (160.5, 745, 0.5).

Layout

The dimension spans Y −64 to 767. Each floor is separated from the next by a thick rock crust with an unbreakable Demon Realm Crust core, so the only way down is through the tunnels:

  • Giant round tunnels (about 90 blocks in radius) cross each crust, repeating every 2,048 blocks. The way from the Third to the Second Demon World starts at 0, 0; the way from the Second to the First starts at 700, 450, inside a raised crater island.
  • Each tunnel is sealed by a glowing orange Shield of Light membrane at the crust's core. You can pass straight through it.
Floor Height Sky What it looks like
Third Demon World (top) Around Y 540–748 Pink Yellow Makai Sand and Makai Grass, mesas of Makai Stone and Makai Strata Stone, Lilac Sand patches, teal Makai Agave and Makai Bush vegetation, Gas Vents and floating rocks. Its chasms are the Sea of Darkness.
Second Demon World (middle) Around Y 300–480 Lime green Islands of Namek grass and Turquoise Rock in a sea (water level Y 318), Ajissa trees, Namek grass and flowers, and Majilite Ore in the rock. Moons and planets hang in the sky.
First Demon World (bottom) Around Y 64–250 Red Reddish Demon Rock, Red Ash and Demon Magma Rock patches, fields of rock spires and rare Crimson Crystal spires, under a red sun.

Each floor is its own biome (Third Demon World, Second Demon World and First Demon World). It never rains in the Demon Realm, and nothing spawns naturally: every inhabitant comes from villages, camps, patrols and lairs.

The Sea of Darkness

The chasms of the Third Demon World are filled with Sea of Darkness Cloud. It has no collision, and every moment you spend inside it blinds you and deals 25% of your max health as magic damage (at least 4). Don't fall in.

Light and farming

The natural Makai blocks of the Third Demon World let sky light through, so the floor below still gets daylight; the same blocks placed by players are normal, opaque blocks. Makai Grass Block and Makai Dirt can be tilled with a hoe into farmland, so you can grow crops on the Third Demon World.

Inhabitants

Demon villages

Main article: Demon Village

Demon villages generate on the Third Demon World. They're home to Demon Realm Villagers (some of them sell Medi-Bugs) and a Time Patroller who sells maps to the world boss lairs. Killing a Demon Realm Villager or the Time Patroller lowers your alignment.

Gomah's soldiers

  • Patrols: while players are within 6 chunks of a demon village, Gomah Soldiers show up on its outskirts in waves of 1–3 (a 30% chance every 20 seconds, up to 4 soldiers per village). Some are bigger or smaller than usual (scale 0.85–1.35), with stats scaled to match (600 health, 16 melee and 12 ki damage at scale 1). They attack players, not the villagers.
  • Gomah Camps: palisade camps with tents on any of the three floors, away from villages. Killing the soldier in the camp starts the Gomah's Army raid.

The Tamagamis

Each floor is guarded by one Tamagami, a world boss sleeping on a stone platform: Tamagami Number 3 on the Third Demon World, Number 2 on the Second and Number 1 on the First. When defeated, a Tamagami drops its matching Demon Realm Dragon Ball (Tamagami 3 drops the 3-star ball, 2 the 2-star and 1 the 1-star) and stays dormant for an hour before it can be fought again. Buy a map from the Time Patroller to find them; operators can also use /dmzworldboss locate.

Demon Realm Dragon Balls

The Demon Realm has its own set of only three Dragon Balls, one from each Tamagami. Bring the three together in the Demon Realm to summon Porunga, who grants three wishes from his usual wish list. These balls never scatter on their own and no radar finds them. See Dragons and Wishes.

Gomah

King Gomah himself is the Demon Realm's strongest world boss. He sits on his throne on Gomah's Horn Cradle, a floating island caged by giant horns, high in the sky of the First Demon World (around X −1112, Z −1144). His Demon Eye makes him stronger and bigger the longer the fight lasts: hit him from behind to knock it loose. Defeating him can drop the Demon Eye relic.

Medi-Bugs

Main article: Medi-Bugs

Medi-Bugs are the Demon Realm's consumables. Bug traders in the demon villages sell them, and Bulma's repeatable Medi-Bug Market sidequest sells a batch of Medi-Bugs (a Beetle pair included) for emeralds and gold ingots, once an hour.

Medi-Bug Effect when eaten
Medi-Bug (Ant) Restores 85% of your health, ki and stamina. It has its own cooldown (the same length as the Senzu Bean's).
Medi-Bug (Rhino) Medi-Bug Shell for 45 seconds: you take 30% less damage.
Medi-Bug (Worm) Mastery Gain II for 5 minutes: 50% more form mastery.
Pair of Medi-Bugs (Beetle) Right-click to split it into two identical Medi-Bug (Beetle). Two players who eat beetles with the same ID within 30 seconds fuse (see Medi-Bug Beetles).
