Frost Demon
Frost Demons are a race of intergalactic conquerors with immense power and boundless cruelty. Their ability to transform and increase their power makes them formidable enemies, and despite their fragile appearance they are some of the deadliest creatures in the universe. In DragonMineZ they earn more Training Points and form mastery than any other race, shrug off part of the damage of techniques, and store Ki in a Power Reserve that feeds their forms.
Overview and strengths
- Faster growth. Prodigious Strength gives you 25% more TP from every source, and Evolutionary Mastery makes your forms gain 25% more mastery.
- Tough body. Hardened Body reduces the damage you take from Ki and strike techniques.
- Power Reserve. Fighting at low Power Release fills a Ki reserve that later lets a form run with no Ki upkeep and stronger bonuses.
- Evolution floor. Once you reach your Final Form, running out of Ki or pressing Descend only drops you back to Final Form, not to base.
Racial skill

All four parts work on their own. The Power Reserve has its own meter on the HUD.
Transformations
Level is the level of the form skill (Super Forms or Legendary Forms) that unlocks the form, and TP cost is the price of that level. Each form after the first of its group also needs 25% mastery on the previous one. Multipliers are the defaults at 0% mastery and grow up to 1.5 times at 100% mastery. Ki drain is the base upkeep per tick; see energy consumption.
Evolution
Second Form
A taller, bulkier body with big horns and pink and purple plates.
Third Form
A long, curved head and a hunched, alien body.
Final Form
A small, sleek white body with purple plates and no horns. From this form on, running out of energy or the Descend key only drop you back to Final Form; see Evolution floor.
Full Power
A swollen, muscular Final Form. Your swings are slower and each attack costs 2.5 times as much stamina.
Artificial
The Artificial group is the Frost Demon Legendary line. It can't be bought with TP by default: the Movies Saga grants its levels, and Mutants can borrow them (see Legendary forms). None of its forms has Ki upkeep: the Metal form files set a negative drain (−0.05 and −0.10), but DragonMineZ counts any negative drain as zero, so they don't restore Ki.
Mecha
A cyborg body rebuilt with metal parts, crackling with red lightning.
Metal
A chrome Final Form in icy blue, with pale blue lightning.
Metal-Core
A giant metal core almost four times your size, with dark plating, red eyes and cables trailing from its back. Every swing is very slow.
Evolution floor
Once a Frost Demon reaches its Final Form or a higher form, the Descend key and running out of energy only drop it back to Final Form, not to base. To go lower, use Descend from the radial (X) menu.
Appearance
- Hair: no. Frost Demons wear horns instead (head parts
horns1tohorns5), picked on the Hair tab. - Gender: no.
- Body types: 3 base body types, with body type 0 as the default. The race also has dedicated bodies for its later forms (such as the Final and Fifth Forms).
- Size: the default model is smaller than other races (scale 0.7375).
- Face: besides their own nose and mouth options, Frost Demons can pick the human ones, listed after their own.
Notes
- A Glind of the opposite alignment deals 15% more damage to Frost Demons, instead of the usual 10% (see Light and Darkness).
Configuration
The four parts of the racial skill are tuned in the frostdemon section of racialSkills in general-server.json, including the TP multiplier (the RACIALSKILL TP boost) and the forms in which the reserve charges. The Super Forms TP ladder is in races/frostdemon/character.json, and each form's values are in its form file.
