- Unlocked techniques are equipped into 8 technique slots from the Skills menu (Bind to Slot).
- Default slot keys: Alt + 1–4 for slots 1–4 and Ctrl + 1–4 for slots 5–8. While you hold a bar's modifier, its four slots appear on the technique hotbar (see Controls and HUD).
- Ki attacks: hold the slot key to charge and release it to fire. If you are locked on (which needs Ki Sense), homing attacks follow your target.
- Strike attacks and evasion techniques activate as soon as you press the slot key. A strike attack with no enemy in reach rushes forward to find one (see Strike Attacks).
- Every technique has its own cooldown. Riding an entity blocks the beam-type attacks that root you while charging, and you can't fire any technique while riding a vehicle.
