The Super Saiyan God Ritual is the only way to become a Super Saiyan God. Five pure-hearted Saiyans join hands in a ring around a sixth and pour their Ki into them through Ki Transfer; after ten seconds of channelling, the receiver rises into the air and awakens the form. Super Saiyan God takes your strongest form and pushes it further, but it only lasts five minutes, and everyone who took part must rest before the next ritual.

Requirements

Role Who Form
Receiver (1) A pure-hearted Saiyan who is not fused SSJ Mastered
Givers (5) Pure-hearted Saiyans within 5 blocks of the receiver, and no more than 3 blocks above or below them Super Saiyan (SSJ) or SSJ Mastered
  • Pure heart. Every participant needs an alignment of 90 or more or 10 or less. A pure good heart and a pure evil heart both count, and they can be mixed in the same ritual.
  • Forms. The receiver must be in SSJ Mastered and the givers in SSJ (the first SS Grades form) or SSJ Mastered, with no stack form such as Kaioken on top.
  • Rested. Nobody can be on the ritual cooldown (the God Ritual CD effect, see Cooldowns).
  • The receiver can't be knocked down. A fusion of two Saiyans can be a giver, but a fusion can never be the receiver (see Fusions as givers).

Performing the ritual

  1. The receiver transforms into SSJ Mastered and the five givers into SSJ or SSJ Mastered.
  2. Each giver stands within 5 blocks of the receiver and gives them Ki with Ki Transfer (Ctrl + Alt + Right Mouse).
  3. Once five givers have each held their link for 1 second, the ritual begins on its own ("Six pure hearts resonate as one..."). The Ki Transfer links end: from here on nobody needs to hold any key.
  4. Gathering (1 second). The givers glide into a ring 2.5 blocks around the receiver, facing them, and join hands. A giver whose spot in the ring is blocked stays where they are.
  5. Channelling (10 seconds). Everyone is held in place with their aura burning while the receiver's action bar fills up. Nobody can move, attack or act, and nobody's form drains Ki.
  6. Ascension (2 seconds). The receiver rises up to 6 blocks into the air (less if something is in the way).
  7. Awakening. A light-blue shell of light builds around the receiver for 1 second; then a flash like a fusion's marks the transformation into Super Saiyan God, and the shell fades away.

If five eligible givers are linked but something is wrong (an impure heart, someone still resting, a giver too far from the circle), the ritual doesn't start and every participant sees why.

Super Saiyan God

Super Saiyan God is a hidden form of the Saiyan God Ritual group: it can't be bought, selected or charged.

  • Power. The form takes your strongest unlocked form, with its mastery (Legendary forms and SSJ 4 included, borrowed Mutant forms excluded), and raises each of its stat bonuses by 30% (45% for Mutants). For example, with SSJ 3 at 0% mastery as your best form (×3.3 STR), Super Saiyan God gives ×3.99 STR.
  • Look. Red hair and eyes, a slimmer build, a fiery God aura and a golden outline with flames that turns red at its outer edge, with a glow along the edges of your body.
  • Duration. It lasts 5 minutes, then you return to base form ("The divine Ki fades away..."). It also ends early if you die or run out of Ki, like any other form.
  • Upkeep. It drains Ki (a base of 0.16 per tick, see energy consumption). It has no mastery, so the drain never goes down.
  • No way out. You can't descend out of it, transform into another form from it or use a stack form while in it.
  • God ki. Like other God forms, you are hidden from players without god ki of their own: they can't find you with Ki Sense, lock on to you or reach you with Instant Transmission. While in the form you have god ki yourself, so you can sense other God forms and Glinds.
  • Landing. If you aren't flying when the form starts, you float down with Slow Falling.

Cancelling the ritual

The ritual is cancelled ("The ritual was interrupted") if, before the transformation:

  • any participant takes damage adding up to more than 25% of their max health;
  • any participant dies, logs out or changes dimension;
  • the receiver leaves SSJ Mastered, or a giver leaves SSJ or SSJ Mastered.

Everyone involved, fusion partners included, then gets a 30-second ritual cooldown. A receiver who was already in the air floats down with Slow Falling.

Cooldowns

After a successful ritual, every participant must rest for 30 minutes before taking part in another one, as giver or receiver. The cooldown of the givers (and of their fusion partners) starts when the receiver transforms; the receiver's starts when Super Saiyan God ends. The cooldown shows as the God Ritual CD effect, and admins can remove it with /dmzeffect clear (see Effects).

Fusions as givers

See also: Fusions

A fused player can take part as a giver:

  • a fusion of two Saiyans counts as two givers, so fewer bodies can fill the ring (for example three players and one fusion);
  • a fusion with any other race doesn't count at all;
  • both members of the fusion need a pure heart and must not be on the ritual cooldown, and both get the cooldown afterwards.

A fusion can never be the receiver.

Configuration

Configured in: General Server ConfigsuperSaiyanGodRitual

All values on this page are defaults. Server owners can change the number of givers, the forms and alignment they need, the size of the circle, the timings, the power bonus, the duration and the cooldowns, or switch the ritual off. The look and the drain of the form are set in its form file, like any other Saiyan form.
