Gomah, the Demon King, is the strongest world boss of the Demon Realm. He sits on his throne on Gomah's Horn Cradle, high in the sky of the First Demon World, and his Demon Eye makes him bigger and stronger the longer the fight lasts. Hitting him from behind is the key to keeping him in check.

Gomah's Horn Cradle

Gomah's Horn Cradle is a floating island of red ash and demon rock, about 120 blocks across, caged by giant curved horns that rise from beneath it up toward the rock ceiling. It sits at a fixed spot high above the First Demon World, around X −1112, Z −1144, and there is only one per world. Gomah sits on a demon-brick throne in the middle. See Structures.

The Time Patroller in any demon village sells Gomah's Horn Cradle Map for 24 Emeralds (4 uses) once the Cradle has been located. When an operator resets the boss, the Cradle is restored too.

Gomah stays on his island: if he strays or falls off, he teleports back to his throne.

Waking Gomah

Gomah sleeps on his throne until you come within 32 blocks or hit him. When he rises, everyone is told to hit him 3 times from behind to knock his Demon Eye loose.

The Demon Eye

Once Gomah is awake, his Demon Eye gains stacks, shown as ◉ next to his name on the boss bar, up to 5:

  • one every 20 seconds of fighting,
  • a little more with every hit he lands on a player,
  • a whole stack every time a player is knocked out.

Each stack makes him bigger, adds +30% to his melee and ki damage, and unlocks new moves.

Stacks New move
Any Great Sphere: he raises a giant sphere over a big red mark and drops it. Fire beams at the falling sphere to join a power clash: win it and the sphere is pushed back into Gomah (5% of his max health, and he loses a stack); lose it and it explodes over the mark and he gains a stack. He also throws purple Blaster Meteors.
1+ Evil Eye: his third eye glows ("LOOK AWAY!"). Anyone looking at it when it flashes is stunned and blinded for 2 seconds.
2+ Eye Beam: a beam fired along a red lane.
3+ Demon Grab: he grabs the player standing in the red circle, crushes them and throws them. Press the sneak key 8 times to break free.
4+ Quake: he drags flying players to the ground, leaps and slams, with a big impact around him and a shockwave ring across the island. Jump over the ring.

The Demon King

At 5 stacks Gomah becomes the Demon King: his moves come back 30% faster. If he keeps all 5 stacks for 20 seconds, he starts the Demon Eye Eruption, a 10-second countdown that then hits everyone on the island. The eruption costs him 2 stacks.

Knocking the eye loose

Hit him 3 times from behind (melee or strikes, within 10 seconds) to knock the Demon Eye loose:

  • he is stunned, and any move he was using, including the Eruption, is cancelled;
  • the eye has to start adapting again;
  • if he had any stacks, he loses one and calls up to 3 Gomah Soldiers, bigger and much stronger than usual, to guard his back (4 at most).

Rewards

Every contributor with at least 7.5% of the points rolls these default rewards (see how world boss rewards work):

  • ×435 Attributes (guaranteed; the amount scales with your contribution): half as Attribute Points and half as Training Points, like quest rewards (see Stats and Attributes).
  • The Demon Eye relic (2%).

The Demon Eye is worn in the Head Tech curio slot. While you wear it, all your stats are multiplied by 1.5, but every second it drains 2% of your max ki, then 2% of your health once your ki is empty (never lethal), and it lowers your alignment by 1 every 10 seconds. The longer you wear it, the bigger you grow, up to 1.5 times your size over 5 minutes, with your hitbox and reach growing too; you snap back to normal size the moment it comes off. Three hits from behind within 10 seconds knock it off your forehead. See Items.

In the story

The Daima Saga ends on the First Demon World with King Gomah and The Demon Eye, where you fight Gomah in his small and his third-eye forms.
