Turles
turlesTurles is the world boss of Earth. The Saiyan waits in the clearing under the Tree of Might, eats its fruit for a damage boost in the middle of the fight, and can teach you two of his techniques. With 87,200 health he is the most approachable of the world bosses.
The Tree of Might
The Tree of Might is a giant tree whose canopy is about 340 blocks wide. It grows in a swamp at least 1,000 blocks from 0, 0, and there is only one per world. Its wood and roots are unbreakable, and its rare glowing fruit drops the Fruit of the Tree of Might. The clearing under it is Turles's lair. See Structures.
The lair is only set up once the tree has been generated. In worlds created before the tree was added, it is still placed where DMZ planned it when a player loads that area; it is too big to place at once, so it is filled in gradually and visibly grows. When an operator resets the boss, the tree is restored too.
The fight
Turles fights up close and at range, and can Zanzoken out of the way of your hits.
- Fruit of Might. Partway through the fight he eats a Fruit of Might: he glows red and, for 30 seconds, deals 50% more melee damage and strikes much faster. He can eat another one 90 seconds after the boost ends.
- Kill Driver. He forms a ring of ki and throws it at a target he can see between 6 and 40 blocks away.
- Meteor Burst. At close range he seizes a player and pounds them with a long combo of strikes, a slam and ki blasts.
- Grab. He dashes at a nearby player (up to about 8 blocks away), grabs them, swings them around four times and throws them.
Rewards
Every contributor with at least 7.5% of the points rolls these default rewards (see how world boss rewards work):
- ×50 Attributes (guaranteed; the amount scales with your contribution): half as Attribute Points and half as Training Points, like quest rewards (see Stats and Attributes).
- Fruit of the Tree of Might (50%): a powerful temporary power boost (see Items).
- The Kill Driver technique (25%): a ki disk attack (see Ki Attacks).
- The Meteor Burst technique (15%): a long strike combo (about 10 seconds) that mixes strikes, a slam and ki blasts, and scales with both SKP and PWR (see Strike Attacks).
In the story
The Movies Saga has its own Tree of Might chapter in Earth's Rocky biome, after Saiyan Saga quest 12: Tree of Might Wasteland, Turles' Goku and the fight against Turles himself.
