The Bestiary covers the creatures and NPCs that live across the worlds of DragonMineZ: the animals you hunt for food, the hostile mobs that attack on sight, the enemies you meet in raids, tournaments and world boss fights, and the neutral NPCs you trade with. Each one has its own page with where it spawns, how it behaves and what it drops.
data/dragonminez/loot_tables/entities/), and a mob without one drops nothing. Counts marked "Looting" grow by 0–1 per level of the Looting enchantment, and meat that "cooks if on fire" drops already cooked when the animal dies while burning.Wildlife
The animals of the DMZ worlds. Many are hunted for food, but dinosaurs, sabertooth tigers and giant fish are predators that attack players, villagers and other animals on sight. Only the Giant Turtle and the Namek frogs are harmless.
Vanilla animals: Planet Namek's waters also hold squid, salmon, cod and other fish, and the Sacred Kai Planet hosts pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, horses, donkeys, mooshrooms, fish, axolotls and guardians. They behave as in vanilla Minecraft.
Hostile mobs
Hostile mobs attack on sight. DMZ has no separate "Earth" dimension: the Earth mobs live in the vanilla Overworld and target specific vanilla biomes and structures. Other hostiles live on Planet Namek, the Sacred Kai Planet, in the Hell of the Otherworld and in the Demon Realm. None of them spawn in Peaceful.

Halloween: only on October 31 (by the server's date), Evil Clones of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Nappa and Krillin roam the Overworld at night, in dark spots like vanilla monsters. They spawn alone (Evil Clone Krillin sometimes in pairs) and have 1,800 health, 90 melee damage, 140 ki damage and a Battle Power of 1,200. They can't fly and only fire small red ki blasts. Each clone has its own spawn egg. On October 31 the masters also wear carved pumpkins (this one follows your own computer's date).
Raid enemies
The invaders of the four raids: the soldiers that fill each wave and the bosses that lead them. Frieza's Soldiers, Gomah's soldiers and the Red Ribbon Army's soldiers and robots also fight in raids, but they roam their worlds too and are listed under hostile mobs. The bosses of the Red Ribbon Army Assault (Colonel Silver, Sergeant Metallic, Ninja Murasaki, General Blue and General Black's Robot) are described on the raid's page.

Tournament fighters
The NPC fighters of the four tournaments; most of them are story opponents in the sagas too. Giran, who also roams the wild, is listed under hostile mobs. Characters who are masters elsewhere, such as Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo and Cell, list their tournament forms on their own pages.

World boss minions
Enemies that serve a world boss. The Mini Janembas that Janemba calls to his side are listed under hostile mobs.
NPCs
Neutral and friendly characters you can interact with. Besides trading, several of them have a special role: the Capsule Corp NPCs, Namekian Traders and Time Patrollers sell treasure maps that lead to DMZ structures and bosses, Namekian Warriors defend their villages, and Demon Realm Villagers sell Medi-Bugs. NPCs have no custom drops.
The trainer NPCs (Master Roshi, Goku, Piccolo, Korin and the others) are covered on Masters.
Treasure maps
Every map trade points at the nearest structure of its kind with a red X. If that structure hasn't been placed in the world yet, the trade shows as out of stock and turns into a real map once the structure can be located; re-open the trade window to check again.
Quest NPCs
Quest givers are a single data-driven NPC whose model, texture and dialogue depend on the NPC it represents. Right-click one to open its dialogue, where the Quests option lists the quests it gives: available, in progress, ready to turn in, and locked ones with what's missing. It is the same window as the masters use. Examples in the default world are Bulma at Vegeta's Pod (story deliveries) and the Hell Ogre in the Otherworld, who tells you about Janemba and, once its lair is known, gives you its location.
How wild enemies spawn
Bandits, the Red Ribbon Army (soldiers and robots), Sabertooth Tigers, Frieza's Soldiers, Mini Buus and the wild Giran are wild enemies. They have their own spawn category with its own cap of 14 (scaled with the loaded area like vanilla mob caps), separate from vanilla monsters, so the two never take each other's spawn slots. Their natural spawns follow these rules:
- Out in the open. They spawn on the surface under open sky (leaves don't count as cover), day or night, but never where block light from torches, lamps and the like reaches. They don't spawn in caves or under roofs.
- Inside their structures. Structures that define wild-enemy spawns, such as the Red Ribbon Tower, also spawn them indoors, in dim spots (block light 7 or less).
- They need solid ground and enough free space for their whole body, and never spawn in Peaceful.
- Like monsters, they despawn when no player is around.
Monster spawners and other non-natural spawns skip the light and sky checks; they only need the free space.
How DMZ mobs fight
Hostile DMZ mobs use the mod's own combat AI instead of the vanilla melee behaviour: they flank and surround you as a group, call nearby mobs of their kind when one of them is hit, give up on targets they can't reach, and animals flee when badly hurt.
Story-style mobs that spawn naturally (Frieza's Soldiers, Saibamen, the Bioman, the wild Giran, Gete Robots, Gomah's soldiers, Hell's ogres and Mini Buu) fight on the Novice AI tier: slow reactions, melee, random combos and the occasional ki attack, with no dashing and no Zanzoken. Some of them also fire ki blasts. The other AI tiers are explained on Sagas.
