Fortuneteller Baba
/dmzlocate baba_palaceFortuneteller Baba appears in two places. On Earth she lives in Fortuneteller Baba's Palace, where she teaches two basic skills and hosts Fortuneteller Baba's Tournament. In the Otherworld she is the one who sends dead players back among the living. Neither of them has an alignment requirement.
On Earth
Location
The Earth's Baba lives in Fortuneteller Baba's Palace, which rises from an ocean and generates once per world. Every Capsule Corp Assistant of tier 3 or higher sells a map to it (see Fortuneteller Baba's Palace).
Skills
- Skills: Ki Control, Meditation
They're paid for with Training Points. Her Train option spawns a Shadow Clone to spar with.
Tournament
Her Tournament option opens the tournament screen of Fortuneteller Baba's Tournament, a gauntlet of knockout bouts held in her palace's arena. See Tournaments.
In the Otherworld
The Otherworld's Baba stands in the cloud realm, near King Yemma. She teaches nothing; her service is Revive (or Borrow time):
- It only works while you're dead, and has a cooldown after each death (180 seconds by default), shown as a live timer in the dialogue.
- By default it's a temporary return: you stay dead and keep your halo, but get one hour to walk the living world. Talk to King Yemma to actually travel there. The timer pauses in the Otherworld, runs faster in some worlds, while transformed and with every return you use, and a lethal hit knocks you out instead of killing you.
- If the server turns temporary returns off, she simply revives you.
- The option is locked while you're alive, or while you already have borrowed time.
