Latest revision as of 15:03, 22 October 2026

The changelog lists every change made to DragonMineZ, newest version first. Version 2.2 is a major update: it adds the Demon Realm, world bosses, raids and tournaments, three new sagas, the Glind race, the Unversed class, vehicles, a reworked combat system, a new HUD and much more. The list below covers everything that changed from version 2.1.3 to version 2.2.

Version 2.2

URGENT HOTFIX

  • Removed Sinorox from the game.

World and exploration

  • Added the Demon Realm (Daima): a new dimension with three stacked Demon Worlds (Third, Second and First) linked by giant tunnels with Shields of Light, reached by Space Pod after Daima Saga quest 3.
  • Demon Realm: added the Sea of Darkness (it blinds you and deals 25% of your max health per hit), Makai, Adobe, Demon Rock and Turquoise Rock building blocks, Gas Vents, Makai Agave and Bush, Majilite Ore, and Makai soil that can be tilled for farming.
  • Added Demon villages with Demon Realm Villagers (Medi-Bug traders) and a Time Patroller who sells maps to the Tamagami lairs.
  • Added Gomah Soldier patrols around Demon villages and Gomah Camps on every Demon World.
  • Reworked the Otherworld: new terrain with a cloud realm, an upper tournament deck and Hell below, a new sky, and new spots for King Kai, Yemma and Baba.
  • Added Grand Kai, who sends you to the Otherworld Tournament grounds.
  • Added Hell: Hell Ground, Stone and Deepstone terrain with crystal spikes, bone spines, thorn balls and floating candy orbs, Red and Blue Ogres, a Hell Ogre quest NPC, and Mini Janemba stampedes if you stay too long.
  • New structures: Fortuneteller Baba's Palace, the Tree of Might, the Big Gete Star, Saiyan Craters, Namekian Ruins, Demon villages and Gomah Camps.
  • Added Gete Robot attacks on Namekian villages and Metal Cooler patrols around the Big Gete Star.
  • New treasure maps: Baba's Palace, Buu's House and the World Martial Arts Tournament (sold by the Capsule Corp Assistant), the Big Gete Star (Namekian Traders), the three Tamagami lairs and Gomah's Horn Cradle (Time Patroller). Maps to structures that don't exist yet now show as out of stock instead of disappearing.
  • New Space Pod destination: the Demon Realm.
  • Huge structures (the Tree of Might and the Big Gete Star) are added to existing worlds gradually and never overwrite chunks players have lived in for over an hour.
  • Tournament arenas are protected from building, explosions and mob griefing, and Baba's Palace and the World Martial Arts Tournament island from ki griefing.
  • Piccolo's House now spawns in plains, and Gero's Lab in rocky biomes or mountains.
  • Story structures (the houses of Goku, Roshi, Buu, Piccolo and Yamcha, Baba's Palace, Kami's Lookout, the Cell Arena, Vegeta's Pod, Trunks' and Frieza's ships, the Grand Elder's House, Old Kai's Pillar and the Time Chamber) now fit the terrain they spawn on: no more square cuts into hills or walls of filler blocks, Frieza's Ship stands on its legs and the Time Chamber no longer sits a block too high.
  • Structures pick better spots: DragonMineZ checks the biome, water and slope over the whole footprint before placing them, and /dmzlocate now points at the structure itself.
  • Chi-Chi now lives in Goku's House, also in houses that were already generated.
  • Added Buu's House, home of Majin Buu, in plains biomes, and Gomah's Horn Cradle, a floating island caged by giant horns above the First Demon World.
  • Added the World Martial Arts Tournament island: a huge island that generates once per world in the ocean, with the tournament ring, Master Tien, Chiaotzu and Mr. Satan. Find it with /dmzlocate budokai_tenkaichi or with its map.
  • Added Red Ribbon Army bases in plains and savannas, guarded by a commander, soldiers and robots. Killing the commander starts the Red Ribbon Army Assault raid; find a base with /dmzlocate red_ribbon_base.
  • Reworked wild enemy spawning: Bandits, the Red Ribbon Army, Sabertooth Tigers, Frieza's Soldiers and Mini Buus have their own mob cap, separate from vanilla monsters, and spawn on the surface under open sky, day or night, away from light. No more spawns in caves, while the Red Ribbon Tower keeps its indoor garrison.
  • Smaller wild enemy groups: Red Ribbon soldiers 1–3, robots alone, Sabertooth Tigers and Bandits 1–2.
  • Added translations for dimension and biome names.

World bosses, raids and tournaments

  • Added World Bosses: Janemba (Hell), Turles (Tree of Might), Metal Cooler Core (Big Gete Star), Tamagami Number 3, 2 and 1 and Gomah (Demon Realm). They respawn after an hour, and the Tamagamis drop Dragon Balls.
  • Gomah's Demon Eye grows up to 5 stacks (bigger, stronger, new moves) and turns him into the Demon King with a Demon Eye Eruption; 3 hits from behind knock it loose, and he can drop the Demon Eye.
  • Every Tamagami has its own moveset (meteors, pillars, cyclones, gales, counter stances, flash cuts…), and missing a move leaves them exposed to 25% more damage.
  • Metal Cooler Core can't be damaged while charging the Supernova, and its guardians and copies heal it meanwhile.
  • World Bosses can Zanzoken on any hit, and their fights have their own music.
  • New lairs for every World Boss, plus /dmzworldboss locate (it tells you where to explore if a lair hasn't generated yet).
  • World Boss fights: a shared contribution ranking (damage, mitigation, damage taken and healing) with a HUD panel, ranked rewards and a results screen. You get knocked out instead of dying, with 3 lives and an ally Revive technique.
  • World Bosses can teach techniques: Supernova (Metal Cooler Core), Kill Driver and Meteor Burst (Turles), Dimensional Warp (Janemba).
  • Added the Tamagami Sword, Tamagami Trident and Tamagami Hammer (Tamagami drops).
  • Reworked raids: Saiyan Assault (Earth, with Oozaru transformations), a reworked Frieza's Invasion (Namek, from Cui to the Ginyu Force), and the new Gomah's Army (Demon Realm) and Red Ribbon Army Assault (Earth, up to General Blue and General Black's Robot). Start them by killing the scout or the commander at a raid site, with an omen, a boss bar, dormant bosses, party participants, a leash countdown, rewards and an alignment penalty on defeat.
  • Added Tournaments: Fortuneteller Baba's Tournament (Gauntlet), The Cell Games (lethal Bracket), the World Martial Arts Tournament (non-lethal Bracket, with Mr. Satan in the final) and The Otherworld Tournament (Bracket), solo or as a party, with PvP bouts, a rules screen, Ready checks, a bracket screen, TP and alignment rewards, and cooldowns.
  • World bosses now reward Attributes instead of TP (Janemba ×500, Turles ×50, Metal Cooler Core ×105, Tamagami Number 3, 2 and 1 ×90, ×300 and ×360, Gomah ×435), split like quest rewards, and you need at least 7.5% of the contribution points to get any reward. See World Bosses.
  • World bosses scale with the number of fighters: every extra participant adds 50% health and 25% melee and ki damage. Their base health and damage now follow the Hard story difficulty.

Story and quests

  • Added the Classic Saga (52 quests): Kid Goku's adventures, from the Pilaf gang and the Red Ribbon Army to Fortuneteller Baba's fighters, King Piccolo and three World Martial Arts Tournaments. It is now the first saga.
  • Added the GT Saga (46 quests): the Black Star Dragon Ball hunt, Baby, Super 17 and the Shadow Dragons up to Omega Shenron and Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta.
  • Added the Daima Saga (17 quests): Gomah's wish, the three Demon Worlds, Glorio, the Tamagamis, Majin Kuu and Duu, and King Gomah.
  • Expanded the Saiyan Saga from 8 to 16 quests, and added 20 new quests to the Frieza, Android and Buu sagas (the Grand Elder, Nail, Porunga, the heart virus, Android 16, the Cell Games, Videl, Gotenks, Ultimate Gohan, Vegetto, the Spirit Bomb plan and more).
  • Added 45 new side quests, among them Chiaotzu's and Mr. Satan's at the World Martial Arts Tournament; several of Bulma's now reward vehicle parts.
  • Added saga title cards: "A New Saga Begins" appears for you and the party members who start the saga with you.
  • New quest objectives: Spar (non-lethal duel), Deliver (hand items to an NPC), Survive Waves, Escort and Checkpoint Race.
  • Added repeatable quests (with a cooldown), daily quests and timed quests. Quests can now fail (time out, escort killed, party wiped) and be restarted.
  • Added a waypoint compass for location, escort and checkpoint objectives.
  • Saga fights can now set the stats of an enemy's next form, or stop an enemy from transforming.
  • Story enemy AI now follows your difficulty (Easy → Novice, Normal → Smart, Hard → Elite, Expert for final bosses on Hard). See Sagas.
  • Added NPC dialogue: branching conversations with masters, editable as world JSON, with conditions, alignment, TP and command actions, and quest hand-off.
  • Added %placeholders% in quest and dialogue text (%player%, %race%, %class%, %level%, %alignment%, %deaths%, %form%, %dimension%).
  • Added Fortuneteller Baba's temporary revive: dead players can "borrow time" and walk the living world as a spirit. A lethal hit knocks you out instead, and the timer drains faster while transformed, in harsher dimensions and with every reuse (optional hardcore mode).
  • Dead players in the Otherworld don't get hungry and earn double TP.
  • Reworked the Quest and Notifications HUD.
  • Reworked quest rewards: saga and side quests now give Attributes, half as Attribute Points and half as the TP those points cost you right now, so rewards keep their value as your stats get pricier. See Stats and Attributes.
  • Legendary forms are now unlocked by Broly's Second Coming, Giant Bio-Broly and Super Hildegarn in the Movies Saga (after the GT or Daima saga).
  • Rebalanced every saga, the movies and side quests to fit the new form curve.
  • NPC quest lists are sorted in story order, and completed quests stay visible.
  • Reworked party quests: everyone keeps their own quest progress. Starting a quest brings in the party members within 128 blocks who have reached that point of the story, and kills, deliveries and destinations count for everyone on the quest nearby. See Sagas.
  • Parties remember who created them: the creator gets the lead back when they return, only the creator can disband, and the leader can kick offline members (but never the creator).

Races, forms and character

  • Added the Glind race: an ancient lilac-skinned race with male and female models, hair and ears, Super forms (Buffed, Out of Control, Super, Absorption, True Form), Legendary forms (Transcended, Dark King, Time Power: Dark King, Time Power: Realm of Light) and a fully passive racial skill (Divine Ki, Celestial Body, Divine Punishment, Light and Darkness).
  • Added the Unversed class: balanced stats and the Resonance passive (ki attacks empower your next melee hits or Strike, and melee hits empower your next ki attack).
  • Reworked every racial skill into several parts:
    • Human: Blood-Fueled Ki, Fast Learner and Adrenaline; Androids get Android Core and the new Absorption Barrier.
    • Saiyan: a new Zenkai on lethal blows, and Limitless Power.
    • Namekian: Assimilation (with accept and reject requests), Regeneration and Water Affinity.
    • Frost Demon: Prodigious Strength, Evolutionary Mastery, Hardened Body and Power Reserve.
    • Bio-Android: Vital Drain, Self-Destruct and Summon Cell Jr., depending on your form.
    • Majin: Absorption with ejectable slots, Sweet Tooth and Healing Magic.
  • Removed the Majin self-revive.
  • Race selection now shows every racial skill.
  • Added False Super Saiyan: a hidden rage form for Saiyans that triggers at low health and lasts while its rage meter holds.
  • Forms can now require a saga quest to be bought, following the story (level requisites are also available, off by default); sagas no longer require a level.
  • Rebalanced transformations: every race form is about 15% stronger, each race's top tier (SSJ 4, Super Namekian, Fifth Form, Ultra Majin, Ultra Perfect, Solaris, True Form) gets an extra +1.0, and form upkeep was reworked: higher base drains for every form and Kaioken tier, mastery now discounts the whole upkeep, and your base offense (not the form's multipliers) only raises it once it passes 5× your max Ki.
  • Rebalanced mastery: 0.025% per hit and 0.004% passive every 5 seconds; Ultimate charges with the mastery of the form it copies and never copies a top-tier form.
  • Frost Demons no longer drop below Final Form when descending or running out of energy.
  • Smoother form transitions: while charging a transformation your character gradually takes on the new form's colors, size (hitbox included) and body model, and smoothly morphs back when powering down.
  • Reworked Mutants: instead of permanent Legendary access, they fill a rage meter in combat and borrow a Legendary form while it's full, at the power of their best form +0.5 (capped at the Legendary form). See Effects.
  • Legendary groups now show their own names (Mutant, Artificial, Bio-Corruption, Demon); updated looks for several forms (Super Saiyan 4, Super Saiyan Grade 3, Bio-Android and Frost Demon forms, and more).
  • Added Beetle (Medi-Bug) fusion: eat a matching pair within 30 seconds to fuse with any race.
  • Fusion Dance: dancers within 8 blocks line up automatically so the full dance always plays; both must be in the same form, and the fusion keeps it.
  • Reworked fusions: fused players share skills, techniques and masteries, cross-race fusions can use the partner's forms, and fusions now inherit the look of both players (two-tone hair, tails, horns, antennae, wings…).
  • Reworked Vitality and Defense: health and flat defense per point now grow on a curve, up to 4× the class scaling. See Stats and Attributes.
  • Rebalanced damage mitigation: the reduction cap went from 75% to 88% (93% with enchantments), with stronger adaptive mitigation against small hits.
  • Added the Speed system: Resistance raises your Speed (up to 2.7× movement speed and step assist).
  • Normal flight is 18% slower and combat flight 15% slower, and the Sprint skill now adds 6% movement speed per level (was 10%).
  • Max stat value raised to 1,000,000; Training Points are now stored with full precision.
  • New TP boosts: ×2 while dead in the Otherworld, Kami's Blessing from Dende (×1.2 for 5 minutes), Hero of the World after a raid victory (+25% for 10 minutes), and TP from training minigames.
  • Party TP sharing now requires the earner to know Instant Transmission.
  • The progression TP bonus now goes up to +75% (was +50%) and is reached at the stat cost of level 10,000.
  • Stamina regeneration now grows with both VIT and RES.
  • Improved the Paladin passive: redirected damage is reduced by the Paladin's defense, never takes them below 1 HP, and no longer heals them.
  • Improved Dynamic Growth: practising a stat also gives 50% of the XP to its linked stat (STR/SKP, RES/VIT, PWR/ENE), and stat points earned through practice no longer raise the TP cost of buying stats.
  • Reworked the Hair Editor: a strand-based, Blockbench-style editor with inspector, outliner, per-segment edits, mirroring, physics preview, undo and redo, and a new Super Saiyan 4 hair slot.
  • New Hair Editor features: presets, global hair color, better import and export, hide or drag the body, and segment edits that carry over to the next segments. Old hair codes still import, and the Hair Salon website has its own button.
  • Added Auto-generate to the Hair Editor: it builds your Super Saiyan, SSJ 2, SSJ 3 and SSJ 4 hair from your Base style (all of them or one slot at a time).
  • Updated the hair presets: many of them were redrawn (new Vegeta and Raditz styles among them), and several come with their own Super Saiyan 4 hair.
  • Added per-pixel painting for eyes, eyebrows, hair and custom tattoos (64 resolution, or 128 and 256 as a Patreon benefit), with view buttons, a body-part picker to hide or isolate parts, double-click to fill a whole side and a Fill tool that paints every visible pixel of the same color in one click.
  • Reworked character customization: tabbed preview grids for body, hair, eyes, face and tattoos, a transformation preview, a class stats and passives panel, and interactive tutorials.
  • Every race can now use the Human and Saiyan eyes, noses and mouths.
  • Male Majins can now have hair, and Bio-Androids have 6 body types (up from 3).
  • Added the Super Saiyan God Ritual: five pure-hearted Saiyans in SSJ or SSJ Mastered give their Ki to a sixth in SSJ Mastered, join hands in a ring and channel for 10 seconds, and the receiver becomes a Super Saiyan God for 5 minutes, worth their strongest form plus 30% of its bonus.
  • The Super Saiyan God Ritual is cancelled if a participant takes more than 25% of their max health in damage (30-second cooldown); after a success every participant waits 30 minutes (the new God Ritual CD effect). A fusion of two Saiyans counts as two givers.
  • Glinds can now sense, lock on to and Instant Transmission to players in a God form, and players in a God form can sense Glinds.

Skills, techniques and combat

  • New ki techniques: Heat Dome Attack, Hellzone Grenade, Dodon Ray, Tri-Beam, Neo Tri-Beam, Assault Rain, Blaster Meteor, Mouth Blast and Kill Driver.
  • New strike techniques: Spirit Breaking Cannon, Shining Sword Attack (needs the Brave Sword), Oozaru Slam, Gum Punch, Blue Hurricane, Grab Throw, Meteor Combo, Meteor Burst, the Mystic Ball Attack (Majin only, taught by Majin Buu), Dimensional Fist and Dimensional Slash.
  • New combo strike attacks, each with its own cinematic sequence: Darkness Eye Beam (Piccolo, Namekians only), Death Chaser (Frieza), Android Combo (Cell, Androids only), Perfect Rush (Cell, Bio-Androids only), Spirit Breaker (Vegeta) and Beam Sword Slash (Goku). You can't be hurt during the combo, and only its finishing blow can kill. See Strike Attacks.
  • New Evasion Techniques category: Afterimage, Solar Flare (moved here), Rage Scream, Sleep Recovery, Dimensional Warp, and Majin Buu's Candy Beam and Gum Bind (Majin only).
  • Reworked Soul Punisher, now also used by NPCs.
  • Oozaru loadout: as Oozaru or Golden Oozaru, your first three slots become Mouth Blast, Oozaru Slam and Rage Scream.
  • Added Ki Surge: charging at full Ki releases a Ki Burst that pushes back weaker enemies; keep charging to enter a Ki Surge with a damaging burst and boosted ki damage, ki speed, movement, flight and attack speed.
  • Ki charging is now interrupted by hits and deflects arrows and other non-ki projectiles.
  • Ki attacks (except Small, Medium and Giant Ball) can now be released before reaching full charge.
  • Hold Alt + Right Mouse to fire a Ki Volley: six quick ki blasts with a 30-second cooldown. A quick press still fires a single ki blast, and ki blasts now alternate hands.
  • Ki attack sizes now grow with Ki Power, with bigger caps while transformed.
  • Rebalanced techniques: the Ki Barrage deals ×0.5 damage (was ×1.0), Assault Rain and Blaster Meteor ×0.7 (were ×1.0), the Emperor's Death Beam and the Special Beam Cannon recharge in 14 seconds (were 10 and 20), the Neo Tri-Beam fires at most 3 follow-up shots, and strike cooldowns were retuned to match each strike's power (for example, the Shining Sword Attack now recharges in 16 seconds, was 8). Learned techniques pick up rebalances automatically.
  • Reworked beam clashes: a timing meter (PERFECT / GOOD / MISS), stat-based push, and the winner's beam breaks through for its full damage while the loser is left exhausted; firing beams destroy smaller ki attacks, and laser and wave beams deal at least 75% of their damage on the first hit.
  • Reworked the Technique Creator: a two-step screen with a live in-world preview of your attack for every ki type, an orbit and zoom camera, and a full color picker (hue, saturation, brightness or hex) for the core, border and outline. See Techniques.
  • Added a passive melee dodge for players with Meditation; perfect evasion now has a 1.5-second cooldown. See Combat.
  • Reworked melee timing: every attack has a short windup synced with its animation, checked by the server against the real hitbox and line of sight; other players see your swing as it starts, and blocking cancels it.
  • Beam steering is now smooth and capped at 60° per second.
  • Reworked terrain destruction from ki attacks: smoother on performance and with debris; Disk attacks and Dimensional Slash cut through terrain.
  • Added damage-scaled knockback: heavily mitigated hits push less, heavy hits push much harder.
  • Added a global strike attack cooldown, so strike attacks can't be chained.
  • Parrying a strike attack now counters it; missing a strike refunds part of its Ki and halves its cooldown.
  • 0% Power Release hides you from Ki Sense.
  • Reworked the Power Pole: its own 3-hit combo with a 360° spin, faster swings, and the pole extends with each swing.
  • Reworked enemy AI: enemies decide in real time, read your guard, dodge and sidestep ki, flank and focus as a group, punish you while you charge or transform, and use ki barriers; four AI tiers (Novice, Smart, Elite, Expert) and per-character Zanzoken levels.
  • Hitting a giant enemy (Hirudegarn, Slug, Janemba…) counts once per swing, no matter how many of its body parts you touch.
  • Dinosaurs, Sabertooth Tigers, the Red Ribbon Army, Bandits, Flying Dinosaurs and Namekian Warriors use the new combat AI and alert their pack; animals flee when badly hurt.
  • New status effects: Adrenaline, Self-Destruct cooldown, Kami's Blessing, Medi-Bug Shell, Hunted (raid preparation), Candy, Hero of the World, and the plant buffs.
  • Added Ki Transfer: hold Ctrl + Alt + Right Mouse on another player to give them 2.5% of your max Ki per second. Every giver raises the receiver's STR, SKP, DEF and PWR by 5% (up to +25%), and Ki that overflows while the receiver charges a ki attack goes into that attack.
  • Ki Transfer has a cost: givers move at 40% speed, can't fight or regenerate Ki, and lose 5% STR, SKP, DEF and PWR for every 3 seconds of giving (up to 25%, the new Ki Exhaustion effect); receivers keep their bonus for a while after the link ends (the new Shared Ki effect).
  • Strike attacks now rush: with no enemy in reach you fly forward for up to 2 seconds (straight at your lock-on target from up to 64 blocks away) and strike the first enemy you reach, instead of a short dash.
  • Added strike clashes: two fighters rushing at each other with strike attacks lock fists in a timing duel on the beam clash meter. The winner lands a heavy blow and gets the technique back at once; the loser is knocked back and stunned.
  • Added a cinematic camera for strike attacks: strikes that land on a target, and boss combos and grabs against you, are filmed from a third-person angle and then return to your view.
  • The Spirit Bomb accepts Ki Transfer: players within 64 blocks are called to help and can give 10% of their max Ki per second without looking at the caster. Their energy makes the bomb grow and hit up to 3 times harder.
  • Techniques can be limited to certain races: masters show a Race line, and a race-locked technique can be learned by anyone but only equipped by its races. Gum Punch, the Mystic Ball Attack, Sleep Recovery, Candy Beam and Gum Bind are Majin only; the Darkness Eye Beam is Namekian only, Perfect Rush is Bio-Android only and the Android Combo is for Androids.
  • New K.O. effect shows how long you stay knocked down.
  • The Instant Transmission menu now has NPC and Player tabs and shows each destination's Ki cost: farther trips and other dimensions cost more Ki (for example, 2,000 extra Ki to reach Namek from Earth).

Masters, minigames and NPCs

  • New masters: Fortuneteller Baba at her palace on Earth (she teaches Ki Control and Meditation, and hosts a tournament), Majin Buu at Buu's House and Master Tien at the World Martial Arts Tournament island (Ki Control, Solar Flare, Dodon Ray, Tri-Beam and Neo Tri-Beam).
  • Reworked the NPC dialogue: masters and quest NPCs now open one menu with all their options (Quests, Skills, Train, services, Tournament) with a live portrait of the NPC, typewriter text and keyboard controls.
  • NPC services no longer close the screen: locked options show the reason in a tooltip, and cooldowns (Senzu Beans, Kami's Blessing, Baba's revive, repeatable quests) show a live countdown.
  • Quest givers now also list their locked quests (with what's missing) and repeatable quests on cooldown; quests can be accepted and turned in without leaving the dialogue.
  • Every NPC now talks to you whatever your alignment, with a colder greeting if it dislikes you. Masters still lock Skills and Train until your alignment fits, and quest givers only lock the quests that need another alignment.
  • Masters can no longer be pushed, moved, leashed or mounted, and fire, explosions, drowning and potions don't affect them.
  • Every master now has several greeting lines, plus cold lines when they dislike your alignment; Toribot got new easter egg lines.
  • Masters teach new techniques: Afterimage (Roshi, Krillin, Cell), Hellzone Grenade (Piccolo), Heat Dome Attack and Shining Sword Attack (Trunks), Spirit Breaking Cannon (Vegeta). Most masters now teach Ki Control, and Instant Transmission moved from Frieza to Cell.
  • Dende now offers Kami's Blessing to good-aligned players.
  • Reworked every minigame, now verified by the server: Control is a ki-orb balancing game, Shadow Boxing a typing combo game, and Gravity a pod flight through rock pillars. Doing anything else while one is open (fighting, building, using items or crafting) cancels it with no reward.
  • The Rhythm minigame is now a four-lane highway with 4 difficulties, latency calibration, and auto-mapping for any music disc.
  • Minigames are learned by playing them 3 times with their master, and replaying one at its master gives a +25% mentor bonus.
  • New creatures: the Giant Fish (hunts swimmers) and the Giant Turtle (drops Turtle Scales).
  • New hostile mobs: Red and Blue Ogres, the Mini Janemba stampede, Gete Robots, Gomah's soldiers, Giran in dinosaur biomes and packs of Biomen in snowy biomes.
  • New NPCs: Demon Realm Villagers, Time Patrollers, the Hell Ogre, Grand Kai, the Otherworld Tournament Announcer, and the World Tournament Announcer, Chiaotzu and Mr. Satan at the World Martial Arts Tournament.
  • New saga characters with their own models and textures, including the whole Classic Saga cast (Kid Goku, Bandit Yamcha, Jackie Chun, the Red Ribbon Army, Tao Pai Pai, King Piccolo and more), the GT cast (Pan, Uub, Baby, Super 17, the Shadow Dragons, Omega Shenron and more) and the Daima cast (Glorio, Majin Kuu and Duu, the Tamagamis, Gomah).
  • New Gogeta (Super Saiyan), Gogeta (Super Saiyan 4) and Mr. Satan models.
  • Updated models and textures for many existing characters: Goku, Gohan (kid, teen, adult and future), Vegeta, Trunks, Future Trunks, Goten, Piccolo, Videl, Chi-Chi, Androids 17 and 18, Janemba, Turles and more, plus the Goku, Piccolo, Trunks, King Kai and Old Kai masters.
  • Reworked the models and textures of Raditz, Nappa, Zarbon, Dodoria, Cui and the Ginyu Force.
  • Story enemies now rush at you with their strike techniques and can start strike clashes: Turles uses Meteor Burst and Kid Buu the Mystic Ball Attack.
  • Halloween: on October 31, masters wear pumpkin heads and Evil Clones of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Nappa and Krillin roam the Overworld at night.

Items and gear

  • Added vehicles: the Red Car and Yellow Car (2 seats), the Capsule Corp. 576 aircraft (4 seats) and Frieza's Capsule (a hover pod from a new Porunga wish). The cars and the 576 are crafted from the new Vehicle Engine, Propeller, Seat and Plating, and the Space Pod and the Nimbuses now use the same controls.
  • Added farming: Namek Moss and six stat crops (Oozaru Root, Katchin Sprout, Meteor Flower, Aura Lily, Hermit's Fern and Kaioshin Fruit) that give short stat buffs, plus the Zenkai Lotus, which clears negative effects and combat cooldowns. See Items.
  • Added Senzu Bean crops: Health, Ki and Stamina Senzu Beans with their own seeds; one of each plus Namek Moss makes 3 regular Senzu Beans.
  • Added the Curative Flask (brew a Water Bottle with Namek Moss).
  • Stat capsules are now craftable from crops, a Curative Flask and the new Empty Capsule.
  • Added the Mastery Capsule: +5 mastery to your active transformation.
  • Added the Medi-Bugs: Ant (restores 85% of health, ki and stamina), Rhino (30% less damage for 45 seconds), Worm (more form mastery for 5 minutes) and the Beetle pair (fusion).

  • Added the Demon Eye (a Gomah drop) and the Sacred Water (×1.1 to all stats, the reward of Korin's quest The Sacred Water).
  • Added the Senzu Bag: it carries up to 64 Senzu Beans of any color in one slot; Shift + right-click eats a bean straight from it.
  • Added the Pattern Station: a new crafting table for armor patterns, with JEI support. See Armor.
  • New armors: Taiyou Gi, Brightly's Regular Wear, Time Patrol (Trunks Xeno) and Scarlet Blaze (Patreon).
  • Added the Control Jewelry Tiara, which completes Broly's set (see Z Armor Sets): it keeps your hair visible, and while you wear it (also in the cosmetic slot) the Saiyan Mutant forms take Broly's colors (cyan hair and a gold aura in Ikari, a gold aura in SSJ Hybrid and a lime one in SSJ Full Power).
  • Removed the Gete Smithing Template.

Visuals and animations

  • Added 3D auras (Smooth, Sparking and, for the Glind race only, God) with a flying trail, selectable in character creation.
  • Reworked 2D auras: they now face the camera, scale with your Power Release and leave a trail while flying.
  • Added an "aura border" flame effect for supervillains and players.
  • Reworked outlines: now smoother and with a blooming effect, and NPCs can have outlines too. Outlines can also have animated flames, a two-color gradient and a body glow, with new looks for SSJ 4 [D], Super Saiyan God, Ikari, Buffed Namek, Chou Shiyoken and several Glind forms.
  • Added a bloom effect to auras and ki attacks.
  • Dead NPCs now wear a halo.
  • Reworked lightning effects: new lightning for forms and techniques, new Frost Demon lightning colors and hidden-power sparks.

  • New looks for the Glind forms: Dark King (bulkier body, crimson hair, red eyes on black sclera, red outline and aura), a new model for Time Power: Dark King, outlines for Absorption and both Time Power forms, a golden time halo for Time Power: Realm of Light, and an exclusive Glind eye style. Most Glind forms now keep your chosen ears and hair.
  • New look for the Human form Solaris: golden cel-shaded smoke around the neck, shoulders and wrists, and a golden aura.
  • With the 3D: Sparking aura style, dark legendary auras (Shiyoken, Evil Namek, Xeno, Transcended and others) have a black outer edge.
  • Bio-Android bodies have colored shading: shaded areas take a deeper tone of each body color.
  • Each race has its own ki charging animation.
  • New animations and effects: Saiyan tails wrap around the waist, a recoil when your attack is parried and a stunned pose after a guard break, a stronger start when you overcharge ki, the target fading away during Assimilation, and an afterimage that breaks apart when you use Instant Transmission.

  • Reworked the HUD: a new HUD Editor to move, resize, mirror and hide every element, four HUD styles (Xenoverse, Modern, Compact and Vanilla), animated bars, and a shareable hud_layout.json.
  • New HUD animations: a shine across the bars, a ki ripple that speeds up while charging, a heartbeat below 25% health, smooth health colors and ki bars in your ki color; the Modern style got a metallic look with segmented bars.
  • Reworked the Ki Sense display: sensed beings get a panel above their head with health (plus ki and stamina for players), Battle Power and damage taken.
  • New HUD elements: a notifications stack (quest notices, party invites, update alerts and the tracked quest), Power Reserve and Rage meters, a party panel, technique hotbar rows, and Baba timer and World Boss contribution panels; the scouter readout can now be placed too.

Dragon Balls and wishes

  • Dragon summons turn the sky into a starry night (visual only), gathered Dragon Balls glow and chime, and dragons fade out in a white flash. See Dragons and Wishes.
  • New Shenron and Porunga models.
  • The Training Points wishes are now Power Boost wishes (×100 Attributes from Shenron, ×75 from Porunga).
  • Added revival wishes: Shenron revives up to 3 dead players, Porunga 1 per wish.
  • Added a "repeatable" option for wishes, to stop the same wish being picked twice in one summon. See Custom Wishes.
  • Improved Dragon Ball generation, tracking and syncing: balls are tracked through any placement or removal, lost balls respawn, extra copies are topped up when the copies setting grows, and an unused dragon leaves after 10 minutes and rescatters its balls.
  • Add-on Dragon Ball sets can use any number of stars and the new natural_spawn key.
  • Porunga's Pothala wishes now grant a full pair of earrings with a world-unique ID.

Configs and commands

  • New world-save folder <world>/dragonminez/dialogues/ for NPC dialogue trees.
  • The HUD layout moved from general-user.json to its own hud_layout.json (old HUD keys are migrated automatically).
  • general-server.json: racialSkills is now split into one section per race, including the new Glind (old flat keys are migrated automatically).
  • general-server.json: new worldBoss, falseSuperSaiyan, mutant.rage and hair sections; new keys for Baba's temporary revive, the Otherworld TP boost, Kami's Blessing, Sacred Water and Demon Eye, form requisites, party markers and the Vitality and Defense curve knees.
  • general-server.json: new TRAINING source and OTHERWORLD boost in tpGainBoosts; new progressionReferenceLevel, attributeRewardPointRatio, mutant.rageBorrowedFormBonus and pixelTattooPaintingEnabled (turns custom tattoos off) keys; the default structure max distance from spawn is now 10,000.

  • The max weight each master can give you is now configurable.
  • Improved JSON and database player storage: logins wait for the pending logout save, slow loads are never discarded, failed loads are retried, and progression is locked until your data has loaded.

  • New quest reward types ATTRIBUTES and ATTRIBUTE_POINTS, and wish types attributes and attributepoints. See Custom Quests.

  • Custom forms: new secondBorderColor key in aura3DStyle for an outer fringe on Sparking auras.
  • New /dmzquest difficulty [easy|normal|hard] [targets] to see or set a player's story difficulty (in a party it changes the leader's, so the whole party switches), with the new permission nodes dmzquest.difficulty.self and dmzquest.difficulty.others.

  • Custom races can ship a <texture>_shadow.png mask for colored body shading (the built-in Human and Saiyan shadow textures were renamed to *_layer1_shadow.png).

  • Added DMZTextPlaceholders so add-ons can add their own %placeholders%.

  • Added Lukas' Weapon Leveling compatibility: the Kikono Station keeps a weapon's level and progress.
  • Live Crowdin translations are now always on (turn them off with -Ddmz.crowdin.enabled=false).
  • Clients and servers must run the exact same DragonMineZ build: a different version is refused when joining instead of causing desyncs.
  • Added more than 1,600 new translation strings.

Fixes

  • Fixed a lot of exploits, dupes and client/server desyncs (packets, rewards, wishes and dialogue are now validated by the server).
  • Fixed gravity rooms not working on dedicated servers.
  • Fixed modified clients being able to change their appearance at any time: appearance changes are only accepted at character creation, with a Re-Customize wish or (hair) at Mr. Popo, and every value is checked by the server.
  • Fixed every player cooldown and duration (dash, techniques, knockdowns, Senzu gift, racial abilities…) lasting only half of its configured value.
  • Fixed skills being purchasable from anywhere: buying now requires being near a master that offers the skill.
  • Fixed %player% in command wishes with unusual player names.
  • Fixed dragons not rescattering their balls when killed, and Dragon Balls staying tracked after being removed.
